What Is Setting Data?
Setting data is a file used to export the setting of this system and back up it to the computer.
When the exported setting data is imported while there are multiple systems, the setting can be shared among the systems.
Setting data is provided as a TAB text file. Setting data can be collectively edited using application software such as a text editor or spreadsheet software on the computer.
Example: Setting data for account track data
The following setting data are available.
- Account track data (Maximum 1,000 items)
- Data registered in the network scanner
- E-mail data (Maximum 450 items)
- HDD (box No.) data (Maximum 150 items)
- FTP (FTP server address) data (Maximum 150 items)
- SMB data (Maximum 150 items)
- WebDAV (WebDAV server address) data (Maximum 30 items)
- Paper setting data (20 custom data items + 500 paper setting data items)
When setting data is exported, it is automatically assigned to the file name as shown below. The file name can be changed.
- Account track data: vt_tab.txt
- E-mail data of the data registered in the network scanner: ip_email.txt
- HDD data of the data registered in the network scanner: ip_hdd.txt
- FTP data of the data registered in the network scanner: ip_ftp.txt
- SMB data of the data registered in the network scanner: ip_smb.txt:
- WebDAV data of the data registered in the network scanner: ip_web.txt
- Paper setting data: paper_setting.txt
Tips
- The exported setting data can be edited or newly created based on the description rules. For details about the setting data description rules, refer to Setting Data Rules.
