[FTP Registration]

Overview

Register the FTP server.

This function allows you to newly register, change, or delete a destination.

NOTICE
  • The authentication operation is always required to display the [Machine Manager Setting] screen. Clicking [Machine Manager Setting] displays the password entry screen. Enter "admin" in User Name, and the 8-character administrator password in Password.
  • Do not use the network scanner function while registering scan address data.
Tips
  • You can only enter the characters and symbols that can be displayed on the control panel.
  • If you violate the character limitation or do not fill in a required field, [the settings are wrong] is displayed. Click [Select All], and re-enter the value.

Setting items

[Registered Name]

Enter the name of the destination.

This item can be specified using up to 24 single-byte characters (12 double-byte characters).

If the name is registered, it is displayed on the [Registered List] screen.

[Reference Name]

Enter text to search for a destination.

This item can be specified using up to 24 single-byte characters (12 double-byte characters).

[Host Address]

Enter the address of an FTP server.

This item can be specified using up to 253 single-byte characters.

[Port number]

Enter the port number used for the FTP server. In general use, you do not need to change the setting.

Available range: 00001 to 65535

Default: 00021

[File Path]

Enter the file path of an FTP server.

This item can be specified using up to 127 single-byte characters (63 double-byte characters).

[Login Name]

Enter the account name of the FTP server.

This item can be specified using up to 32 single-byte characters.

[Anonymous]

Select this check box to use "anonymous" as the login name.

Set this item when registering an FTP server (Anonymous FTP) that does not require the account to log in.

[Password]

Enter the password for the FTP server. This item can be specified using up to 32 single-byte characters.

The entered password is shown by "*".

[Use Proxy]

Configure a setting to use a proxy server.

Select this check box to use a proxy server.

If the destination is an external server, select this check box.

To use a proxy server, make sure to configure the setting in [UTILITY]. For details, refer to [FTP TX Settings].

[Daily Use Registration]

Select this check box to register a destination as a frequently used one.
