Tool: Profiler
Introduction
The Profiler tool is used to create ICC (Printer Profile) and Device Link Profiles. It can be called directly from the main window as well as via the tools "View" and "Measure".
Note: “Profiler” is not available in AccuiroPro ColorManager EngineTune.
This allows you to calculate and make color profiles from external measurement data, a recent measurement, or an earlier measurement created with Color Manager.

The “Profiler” tool has several profile calculation settings that are adapted to ineo+ series.
Setting | Type | Description |

ICC-Standard | Printer Profile | Standard printer profile setting. This is used for production printing in CMYK workflow. |
ICC-max. Black | Printer Profile | Black replacement prioritized setting used for niche, special case. The highest possible amount of black can be generated. This is to reduce toner consumption, keeping as good color quality as possible. Color quality would not be as good as Standard setting. |
DL-Standard | Device Link | CMYK-CMYK Device Link Profile for production printing in CMYK workflow. Relative colorimetric rendering intent.Pure Black, Solid Black, Primaries and Secondaries are preserved. Triplex color only is corrected. |
DL-Simulation | Device Link | CMYK-CMYK Device Link profile used for proof printing (Simulation) and printing on colored paper media. Intended for absolute colorimetric rendering. |
DL-RGBProduction | Device Link | RGB-CMYK device link profile used for productionprinting in RGB workflow. Intended for perceptual rendering. This makes perceptual quality (smooth color relationship and highly saturated color) for e.g. photographs. |
DL-OfficePrint | Device Link | RGB-CMYK device link profile for business document printing. Intended for saturation rendering. This is helpful for eye-catching graphics where color impact is more important than color accuracy, such as pie charts in business documents. |
Operation Example 1: Calculation of an ICCprofile
- ICC profiles are calculated based on a measurement. You can open the profiler directly from the main window or from the "Measure" or "View" tools.
- First click on one of the ICC settings ("ICC - Standard" or "ICC - max. Black").
- If you have opened the "Profiler" tool from the main window, then click on the "Select" button next to "Destination/Printer" and select your measurement file. If you have opened the profiler via the "Measure" or "View" tool, the active measurement is already displayed here.
- Now enter the desired profile name and select the storage location. The easiest way to create the ICC profile for a printing system is to store the profile on the desktop. But you can also specify up to two individual storage locations under "Details".
- Now click on "Start" to calculate and save the ICC profile.

Operation Example 2: Calculating a Device Link Profile
- Device Link Profiles are calculated based on two ICC profiles (source and destination ICC profile). To do this, open the “Profiler” directly from the main window.
- First click on one of the Device Link settings ("DL - ... ") at the top. You now have the two required inputs for source and destination.
- In Source/Reference select your source profile (usually a print standard or an RGB working color space) and in Destination/Printer your ICC Printer Profile.
- The rest of the procedure (file name, storage location, …) is identical to the calculation of an ICC profile.
